Electronic waste management
Information on the obligation to take back, take over, recover and dispose of waste generated in connection with the distribution of electrical and electronic products.
HRP Europe Ltd is committed to the protection of the environment; therefore, during our activities, our company takes part in the collection and recycling of electrical and electronic products available on the Hungarian market in compliance with the current legislation,. Our company meets the mandatory collection and recovery requirements by paying the environmental product fee for electrical and electronic equipment and its packaging through collective performance through the National Waste Management Agency.
Based on the Government Decree 197/2014 (VIII.1.) on waste management activities, we publish the following information: electrical and electronic equipment and its components may contain substances hazardous to the environment and human health, which harm health if they are not used and operated per the relevant environmental regulations. Therefore, electrical and electronic equipment that has become waste should be collected separately and should not be disposed of together with communal waste in the same container and should not be disposed of as communal waste.
Used and discarded electrical and electronic equipment may be delivered free of charge at the place of sale or at any distributor who sells electrical and electronic equipment similar in nature and function, including at our company.
Electrical and electronic equipment may contain batteries or accumulators, the safe removal of which is described in the equipment's manual. Batteries contain substances harmful to human health and the environment, which harm health if they are not used or operated in accordance with the relevant environmental regulations. Therefore, they should not be placed together alongside communal waste in the same collection container and should not be disposed of as communal waste. Used and discarded batteries can be left free of charge at designated collection points or the distribution point. HRP Europe Ltd. fulfils its collection and management obligation with the help of an intermediary organisation, RLG Rebat.
Our company meets the mandatory collection and recovery requirements by paying the environmental product fee for electrical and electronic equipment and its packaging through collective performance through the National Waste Management Agency. Regarding lighting equipment, our collection and management obligation is met by an intermediary organisation, RLG Relectra Hungary Non-profit Ltd.
HRP Europe Ltd bears the costs of fulfilling your obligations under applicable law regarding the return, receipt, collection and handling and guarantees to meet these obligations.
The products distributed by HRP Europe Kft comply with the RoHS directive.
